ACT Committees

Past Presidents Strengthen ACT’s relationship with SUNY Board of Trustees and System Administration; serve as wise counselors to the current president and Board on a wide range of issues; also serve as ACT’s institutional archivists. Chair – Arnold Amell, Plattsburg Public Affairs Advise on, plan and research all public issues, governmental or otherwise, which impact higher education and our roles as college council members. Current committee members all have extensive experience in these areas. Chair – Mary Fallon Conference Planning Organize ACT’s annual fall conference. This includes hotel, meals, cocktail reception and most important – the program and speakers. Awards Selection of winners of Student achievement and other awards. Chair – Matt Morgan New Ideas This committee will brainstorm for ACT. Key questions to research: What steps should be taken to better assist our campuses and SUNY? What specific initiatives should we be undertaking? Members – Elaine Conway, George Raneri

These committees will be communicating between Board meetings by e-mail, phone and letter and will report to the Board at our formal meetings. They all can use help and new perspectives, so feel free to contact the chair of any committee in which you are interested.
